Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Martina V. developed a deep connection to art from an early age. She studied Fine Arts at the prestigious School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, where she developed a strong foundation in traditional artistic techniques, composition, colour, and visual expression.

In 1993, Martina and her family came to Canada, leaving Croatia during a difficult and uncertain period of war. They settled in Toronto, where Martina continued to nurture her passion for art and began building her creative life in her new home.

Driven by a lifelong love of painting and artistic expression, Martina eventually opened her own art studio and began exhibiting her work in numerous art exhibitions. Her paintings reflect her appreciation for colour, emotion, movement, and the ability of art to transform a space and create a lasting experience.

In 2019, Martina began exploring mural painting. What started as an opportunity to take her artwork beyond the traditional canvas quickly became a new artistic passion. She fell in love with the scale, freedom, and immersive nature of working directly on walls and architectural spaces.

Murals allowed Martina to combine her fine-art background with her interest in design and environment, transforming ordinary spaces into large-scale works of art. The process of creating art on such a scale became an exciting new chapter in her artistic journey.

Today, through Martina V. Creative, Martina brings together her background in fine arts, her love of colour and design, and her passion for creating meaningful, distinctive artwork that becomes part of the spaces and communities where it lives.

For Martina, every mural is more than a painted wall, it is an opportunity to tell a story, create connection, and transform a space through art.
